RSVP FOR STARDUST KREWE DEN DAY: MAY 17

Thank you for joining us for our very first Stardust Krewe Den Day! We're very excited to kick off this new program with you. Here's everything you need to know to join the fun and help bring our big ideas to life:

🌟 VOLUNTEER INFO:

• DATE: Saturday, May 17

• TIME: 10:00am - 5:00pm (come for a few hours or the whole time!)

• ADDRESS: The Tigermen Den, 3113 Royal St

🌠 HOW DO I JOIN THE STARDUST KREWE?

• We are a community-powered Nola Krewe open to everyone! You don’t need to be enrolled in Art Camp 504 classes to join—just bring your creativity and helping hands.

• Our Krewe includes families, neighbors, artists, builders, and dreamers—united by a love of BIG art and the mission to inspire the next generation of creators.

🎨 ABOUT DEN DAYS

• Den Days are our monthly community volunteer events where folks of all ages come together to help build large-scale art installations.

• At Art Camp 504, we dream BIG—and we need your help to make those dreams a reality!

• Join us to learn new skills, share your ideas, make new friends, be part of a creative, supportive community

🚀 THIS WEEK'S MISSION

• Help move Stardust Spaceship INSIDE the Tigermen Den for Summer Camp!

• Tasks include: Helping build set walls for the side panels, hanging planets and rockets in the hallway, hanging nebulae in the hallway, removing mylar and re-hanging in Quiet Room, hanging frames in main room

• We will be using staple guns, ladders, ceiling hooks, hanging tools. We have all tools needed on site

🌟  KIDS ARE WELCOME 

• While most tasks this week are geared toward adults, kids joining with a parent or guardian can still get involved in creative ways!

• Projects for young helpers include: Making nebulas, decorating signs, creating summer camp decor

• We’ll have adults to introduce these activities, but for this Den Day, kids should be able to work independently. As the program grows, we plan to have a dedicated teacher on site to supervise younger children.

🍕 LUNCH: RSVP REQUIRED

• We are providing a pizza lunch at 1pm for volunteers. If you arrive after 1pm, we will have pizza saved for you

• Please RSVP using this form so we know how much to order

• Don’t forget your water bottle! We’ll have filtered water and small cups on hand, plus snacks and drinks for volunteers.

📅 SAVE THE DATE: Our next Den Day will be Sunday, June 22. We’ll be making signs and puppets to get ready for Bywater Midsummer Mardi Gras with Preservation Hall on Friday, June 27 at 6 PM!
