Four children dressed in space-themed costumes stand in front of a wall with colorful text that reads 'Stardust Spaceship' and neon lights. The children are posing with salutes, and the background has circular windows and an air vent.

Our Mission: inspire kids to dream big

meet our community of exceptional young artists

Art Camp 504 empowers New Orleans children to nurture creativity, boost self-confidence and build connection by removing barriers to arts access and creating joyful spaces for creative exploration.

Located at the Tigermen Den in the Bywater, our experiential programs span filmmaking, visual arts, creative writing, comedy and more. Our curriculum is designed to build confidence, leadership and real-world creative skills beginning at infancy through age 17.

OUR VALUES:

We believe in a world where every child has access to high-quality, culturally relevant arts education -  regardless of who they are or what zip code they were born in. We are a diverse and inclusive community, welcoming all pronouns, races, cultures, genders, and religious affiliations.

IMPACT

In 2016 Art Camp 504 started as a summer art workshop for neighborhood kids. Almost a decade later, the non-profit serves over 700 New Orleans kids annually through year-round camps and classes. Throughout the years, Art Camp 504 has maintained its commitment to making arts accessible by granting needs-based scholarships to 30% of students.

Located in the Bywater, Art Camp 504 gives kids joyful spaces for creative exploration - nurturing artistic skills, boosting self-confidence and building community. Its programming includes something for every kid ages 0 to 17 - from family music to improv comedy, creative writing, filmmaking, culinary arts and more. Our students dream big and inspire wonder, celebrating New Orleans’ unique artistic traditions.
